I pretend
I feel stuck
I'm anxious all the time
I hate my body
I'm bulimic
I cheated on him
I'm not good at anything
I lied
life is meaningless
I feel used
I've been putting it off
I'm not good enough
They don't
believe me
I feel guilty
all the time
I can't sleep
I cut myself
I am addicted
I still love him
I am addicted
I feel like an
imposter
They don't
respect me
I'm not good enough
I feel
overwhelmed
I don't trust him
I'm scared of rejection
I don't know what to do
I'm nervous about dating
I feel judged
He repulses me
I can't remember
I'm barely functioning
I'm struggling with getting older
I feel bitter
I can't stop
bingeing
I'm worried about my health
I hate my body
I feel stuck
I'm scared
I'm not good enough
I'm dull
I can't sleep
I feel used
life is meaningless
I'm not good
at anything
I don't know what I want
I'm bulimic
I can't sleep
I'm unhappy
I worry about
everything
I've been putting it off
I'm struggling with getting older
I worry about my parents
I'm anxious
all the time
I feel stuck
I pretend
I feel invisible
My family don't understand
I feel bullied
What's the point?
I can't stop bingeing
I don't want to feel like this anymore
I feel
overwhelmed
I still have an eating disorder
I'm lonely
I'm a bad parent
I want
a divorce
I worry about
everything
I miss my family
I stole it
I'm infertile
I don't want kids
I don't like my step kids
I'm a bully
I don't want to get married
I'm so hurt
I hate him
I don't have any friends
I am mean
no one
gets me

About Nicole

Nicole Edwards Matson is a qualified and experienced counsellor, holding a Postgraduate qualification in Counselling (having previously studied Linguistics and Social Research at Deakin University, Melbourne). She is currently completing her Master of Counselling. Nicole is registered with PACFA and has diverse counselling experience including with eating disorders, bereavement and addictions. She is experienced in both agency and private practice, giving her the tools to work with a diverse range of clients. Her varied life experience means she's well-placed to support women through a variety of challenges. She is non -judgemental, has a gentle approach, is culturally competent and is very much person-centred. Nicole's clients have seen results from her firm belief in their potential. She can guide and support you through life's challenges: caring for your mental health, addressing any difficulties you are having and give you the support you need to adjust to life's challenges .

Nicole was born in the 1970s – during Australia's second wave of feminism. She was raised in a culture where 'skinniness' and 'prettiness' were considered female virtues: she's happy that these ideas are being challenged. She has worked in many industries; within government, private and community sectors and in many roles from social researcher to private investigations.
Nicole's long-term relationship ended when she was 41 and it felt like she was starting again. She reskilled and returned to study. She started online dating and went on over 100 dates, determined to find the right one. She learned a lot about herself and men and made plenty of mistakes along the way. Nicole was single for the first time in her adult life and reached the point where she was happy with her life and adventures.
Nicole met her now partner online, becoming a stepmother to 3 kids which came with its challenges. Everyone’s journey is different, but she understands what it’s like to go through a separation, to feel lonely (in or out of a relationship), to have a substance use issue, to experience menopause, and to come to terms with aging, death, and loss. In her spare time, she likes to travel, cook, play (quite bad) tennis and interact with all kinds of people.
