I can't find an appointment time that suits me
Feel free to give me a call or send me an email and we can work around this to find a time that suits you.
I don't have Zoom
You don't need to have Zoom. All you need is a phone or any device with a camera and a functional internet connection. If you are joining the Zoom meeting from a desktop device you won't need to download the Zoom app. If you are using your phone you will need to download the app which can be done before our session.
But I'm not great with technology....
You don't have to be tech genius, I will send you the link and you just need to follow the prompts.
Is counselling bulk billed?
Medicare rebates are not currently available for counselling.
Are you qualified?
I have a post-graduate qualification having studied at both Deakin University and the Australian College of Applied Psychology and am currently completing my Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a member of The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) which is the umbrella professional body that plays a self-regulating role in the psychotherapy and counselling industry.
How many sessions will I need?
One, two, regularly or whenever you feel the need: it's entirely up to you.
What's your approach?
Integrative therapy which combines elements from different therapeutic modalities to create a personalised and flexible approach.
Is counselling effective on Zoom?
Research supports the effectiveness of online counselling, when conducted by qualified counsellors. Online counselling offers several advantages such as increased accessibility, convenience, and affordability, especially for people who may face barriers to traditional in-person counselling.

What is 'walk and talk' therapy?
Walk-and-talk therapy is an alternative to traditional indoor counselling. Sessions take place in Elsternwick Park in Bayside Melbourne (exact meeting point provided with booking confirmation). In these sessions we walk side by side and talk, using gentle movement and the outdoors as part of the therapeutic process. This is not a fitness session. We walk slowly, pause when needed, and let the conversation guide the pace. Many women find that being outside feels less intense than sitting face-to-face allowing thoughts and feelings to unfold more naturally. Walk and talk therapy is subject to suitable weather.
